About the Authors
During World War II Mr. Ridenour was drafted into the armed forces before completing High School in St. Johns, Michigan. After nearly three years of service in the Air Force he used the GI Bill to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University at East Lansing, Michigan. One of his career locations was near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and by attending night school he received his second Bachelor of Science degree, this one in Industrial Management from Carnegie-Melon University.
In 1960 he married an attractive young woman who was teaching English, mathematics and music in the public schools of California. She is the author of the original I’M SMART! Book, which she wrote to teach multiplication after retiring from teaching.
After her passing, Mr. Ridenour revised the book and their daughters and families revised it again, making it suitable for downloading as an e-book, giving it the new title, Multiplication Education.
This book is dedicated with love to Joy (Constance Barry) Ridenour, and to our children, Piper, Beverly and Sharon and their families, with the belief that all children can achieve the reality of the dreams their parents have for them.
